Other InfoWounded on the in action on 4th June 1917 with a gunshot wound to the left foot. He was sent to the 2nd Aux Gen Hospital and thence to England on the Hospital Ship St. David to the General Military Hospital Eastern Command at Edmonton, N18. After recovery he returned to France. Captured and taken Prisoner of War near Neuve Eglise on the 13th April 1918. He was taken to Gottingen POW Camp and eventually released after the war.
