STATEMENT ABOUT HIM BEING WOUNDED read: Statement of case. Date - 19th Nov 1916 Place - Grand Court, Somme. "Was in a charge, ??? The ??? When he was hit by two Bullets in the chest. One in the front and one behind. He go to a shell cavity for shelter, when he was again hit in the back by shrapnel. He lay out all day and then managed to get back to the medical officers dug out. He stayed there 3 days and was then moved down to Rouen and transfered to Glasgow" |
