Other Info | Born 28th May 1894 Dudley, Worcestershire, died 1979 in Berkshire. At time of his marriage on 27th Oct 1915 he was a corporal in Oxford & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and at time of his daughters birth in March 1916 a sergeant in 3rd Bn. Ox & Bucks. He later joined the 4th Battalion Worcestershire Regt. as a Company Sergeant Major was awarded the D.C.M on 30th Sept 1918 for "an example of fine leadership and contempt of danger" after his company's officers were killed. |
