Other Info | Wilfred Thomas Smith was a signaller in France. A note on the back of the photo above states that it was taken in June 1916. The note also says “To Teresa from Lil” in 1917. Teresa, was to become Wilfred’s wife after the war. It is understood that Lil was a sister to Wilfred. Wilfred died in Carlisle, Cumbria on 10th October 1975 and is buried at St Barnabas Church, Gt Strickland with his wife. Photo and details supplied by Bill Owen his grandson. |
