Other Info | Born 31st March 1879, son of Alexander Bain Chisholm (Captain in the 25th Regiment) and Mary Jasper. He was educated at St. Ronan's, Worthing and Marleborough College (1896). He was admitted to Gonville and Caius College - University of Cambridge on the 1st October 1897. Joined the Worcestershire Regiment on the 23rd May 1900. Played cricket for the Worcestershire Regiment in 1900. He married Lucy Ethel Hall in 1905 (They had 4 children all born in the London/Home Counties area). Was adjutant in the 6th Battalion. Landed in France with the newly formed 10th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment on the night of the 18/19th July 1915. On the 11st August 1918 appointed Assistant Provost-Marshall with rank of Temporary Major - attached to H.Q. Unit. In 1923 he and his family emigrated to Melbourne, Australia. Died age 83 on the 29th September 1962 in Heidelberg, Australia. |
