Other Info | He served in 'D' Company of the 11th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment. Whilst training he was wounded by a shell on the Somme river bank. After he was wounded he was awarded the Silver War Badge (number 291071). He married Olive Hill in 1918. He later died of pneumonia following on from his wounds. Died age 32. Son of the Rev. the Hon. John and Mrs. Marsham, of St. Clair, Seaford, Sussex; husband of Olive Marsham (nee Hill), of Trelawny Road, Tavistock, Devon. WINCHESTER (WEST HILL) OLD CEMETERY, Hampshire, U.K. - grave Ref: 40. 2927. He had a son born in 1919 named Theodore John Ralph Marsham who served with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve as a Leading Aircraftman (Pilot) in WW2, he was killed in action age 21 on the 31st October 1940. After Olive Marsham died on 14th December 1926, the son was adopted by Lucy A. Wright of Fovant, Wiltshire. |
