Other Info | He was educated at Lyttelton Grammar School, Great Malvern, Worcestershire. Died age 23. On the 17th October 1916 he joined the 11th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment in Macedonia (at Hill 420 near Doiran). Following my submission of suitable evidence from Giles Smith, the CWGC have recently changed the date of death on their webpage for the WW1 casualties in Great Malvern Cemetery to 8th (not 7th) November 1917. He was killed in an air training accident at RFC Lilbourne Airfield, near Rugby, whilst with 73 Squadron who were preparing for active service in France.
