Other InfoOn the 30th April 1916, in trenches facing the German salient at Gommecourt Park, he was mortaly wounded by a shell and died within the hour. Died age 29. Son of the late Rev. Francis Slater and Frances Adelaide Slater, of Latchford, Warrington, Lancs. Hebuterne Military Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France - grave Ref: I. H. 14. The photo of him above was taken at Hebuterne, Somme region of France in August 1915.
