Other InfoWas serving in 'D' Company of the 10th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment when he was gassed and captured and taken prisoner of war at Messines on the 10th April 1918. Became a POW at Termonde (Dendermonde), Belgium and then sent to Dulmen POW Camp. In WW2, Harry enlisted with the Royal Army Ordnance Corp in September 1939 and somehow ended up as a North Africa Campaign as Corporal in the 8th Army under Montgomery. He was a Desert Rat and a Dunkirk Veteran. He died September 1967 aged 67. The WW1 gas had affected one of his eyes and his lungs - the latter contributed to his death.
